In 1888, the National Geographic Society was founded and, in time, it became one of the world's largest non-profit scientific and educational organizations, which funded more than 10,000 scientific research to preserve Earth across the globe. Through various media channels, including the magazine, movies, TV and radio channels, interactive media, the mission of the Society reaches as many as 450 million people a month.
